THE CLOWN THAT FROWNED

The words are not quite clear and so I thought I post the mask of words below...

THE CLOWN THAT FROWNED

Poem composed on May 6, 2009

Once upon a time in the heart of a quiet town

Laid was a circus on the vast central ground

Along with a giant extravagant merry go round

An enchanting station for one particular clown

Giggles and laughters were the audible sound

Of little children, teenagers and lovers around

Lovers french kissess always make her drown

In empathy, coz ‘the one’ she had just found

But when from behind a sudden familiar sound

Involuntarily causes the clown to turn around

Holding hands he was with another walking down

Passing the clown unknowingly on that very ground

She could hear nothing but loud repeated hard pounds

Of her own heartbeat, as she colapsed to the soft ground

Soiled in the wet muddy betrayal of dark dirty brown

She realized that the real him was a despicable hound

Shocked still, unable to stand up, she stayed down

Curling to a prawn, out of the joyful compound

Beneath the signature smile of a happy clown

Awaken by reality… she finally found

She was no longer the happy clown

But the clown that frowned

Deeply drowned

Down
