TWO EYES, TWO HEARTS

Poem composed April 9, 2009

Inspired by April 3, 2009’s Nazi Karaoke Session at T-Rex... I always wonder what could happen in a Karaoke room, I mean since the room will be noisy and so I figure anyone interested in someone would just be staring across at each other with no words said and so this poem is an attempt to capture that ‘I look at you, you look at me, I think about you, you think about me, yet we’re both silent and shy’

HERS ON HIM

One peep
“Starry eyes... ohh that twirl”
Another peek
“Soft smile, hmm that curl”
Yet another peer
“White teeth... ahh shiny pearls”
Still she had to see
“Defined dimples... sigh that swirl”

HIS ON HER

One glance...
“Check out that chick”
Another observance...
“Smooth and slick”
Yet another surveillance...
“Eye lashes that flicks”
Still he examine her presence...
“Perhaps with her I can click”

Her eyes are looking at the singer
Yet she’s following his shaddow
His conversation are meant for another
Yet towards her he’s hoping it will flow

The evening slowly grows old as throats grow dry
And the only glass of wine left could well satisfy
Both reaching for it, each other’s hand they felt
Instantly two eyes locked and two hearts melt…

After the audiences guessed who the two were... there were some problems and scandals created and so I had to come up with a mini poem to stop them from guessing and instead make them all relate to the story...

Different guesses and thoughts let us all align
For a poet observing need not be so maligned
Let’s indulge in ambiguity and let go of the story
That way we all get to keep the alluring mystery

Imagination is such powerful tool
It could convert anyone into a fool
Re-read the poem and try to relate
And a fantasy lover you shall create
