Poem composed on April 8, 2009
This poem is inspired by the bet that most of us made yesterday in another Wine and Whine session at No Signboard Seafood on (you know who and who) as ignited by KS our Madam Hitler… A quote from D; “It’s like back in Kindergarten when you pinch a girl that means you like that girl” and of course denial is in the air…
PROLOGUE...
She can’t stand the way he snicker
He can’t understand her weird temper
They can’t take it when they bicker
Plus the audience makes life harder
AGAIN AND AGAIN...
In every argument, in each matter
She strives to win like a fighter
He exchanges insults as if a barter
And both then throw the cold shoulder
Crossing beyond courtesy they grew wilder
Her tiny little mistakes he always remember
She has a list of his offenses as a reminder
The action drama grew brutal and bolder
BUT THEN AGAIN...
With each day she grew lovelier
With each call he grew gentler
With each second she grew sweeter
With each moment he grew softer
With each meet… they grew milder
With each battle… they grew closer
With each touch… they grew tender
With each parting… they grew fonder
EPILOGUE...
With a secure feeling… she starts to wonder
With a clear reasoning… he starts to ponder
With a heart of longing… they start to consider
With a passionate seal of a kiss… they became lovers
