Poem composed on July 16, 2009
The further I run, the closer I get to you
The longer I delay, the faster the paces
The deeper I conceal, the more it surfaces
The more I hide, the nearer I am to you
As if the North and South poles
We reside in two different homes
Yet there exist a law of attraction
That pulls the two grounds to a union
Thus so the more we resent each other
The more we scrutinize for differences
The more we tab weaknesses as references
The harder it is to let go of one another
Magnetic fields might be invisible
But for orientation it is responsible
Suddenly moving on we are unable
Togetherness is resented but probable
The further I run, the closer I get to you
The longer I delay, the faster the paces
The deeper I conceal, the more it surfaces
The more I hide, the nearer I am to you
I just can’t let you go…
This is inspired by a case I came across recently where the two resented the thought of being together but they can’t get away from each other…
