NO LONGER YOUR STRANGER

Poem composed on June 1, 2009

Summer is here to finally take over

And long gone is the wind of winter

At the end of the chill breeze of spring

Everywhere… flowers are blooming

In the morning the birds are chirping

At night the stars above are twinkling

Along with the warm coming of summer

The way you look at me is now so tender

Perhaps it was the chime of fate

That seems to say it’s never too late

To have lost and then be found again

In a path that crossed again and again

It was such a joyful pleasant surprise

To once again look deep into your eyes

I must have caught a lucky falling star

For you to have noticed me from afar

The ice for sure has melted away

When beside me… you stayed!

My heart is blooming to discover

That I am no longer your stranger
