It has always been the same
No individual has ever gained
Everyone is only to be pained
When playing the love game

The heart is so easily tamed
Drowned drunk with imagination
But when reality hits expectation
It is a shame that love is blamed

Love has gained reputable fame
As the heart’s colorful painting
But yet it is not never-ending
For pain is the painting’s frame

I can no longer conceal
How you make me feel
Oh, tell me that this is real

In the stillness of the sea
You are the only one I see
Amidst the serene ocean melody
I’m drowned in a song called ‘we’

Take my hand… Take my hand…
Don’t slip away like the sea sand
Hold on tightly as I take your hand
For you are more than just a friend

I’ve searched for you in every land
From life’s meandering river bend
To the deepest beds of the ocean
And find you, my one and only passion

So sing with me… Sing with me…
In this silent melody of melancholy
Let your heart sing out to me
In our melody of melancholy

This poem is dedicated to fellow pathetic poet who is also a diver and who is currently in love!!! (you know who… wink wink wink) It is about listening to the heart in the silence of the sea and finding THE MELODY OF MELANCHOLY.

It is also about journeying from every land, through life’s meandering river bend to the deepest bed of the ocean and finally finding the one… Attention all divers, those already in love or looking for love… Jiayou!!!

Sometime in the winter season of last year

I was nestling comfortably in your embrace

Somewhere in the breezy spring of last year

Here under the cherry blossoms of this place

Between us an exchange of promises were made

That you would come for me no matter how far

And I promise not to let my feelings for you fade

Yet what is left out of our promises is a deep scar

For the whole year I was lost and heart broken

Questioning and pondering in a pool of tears

How could such promises ever be forgotten?

After what we went through all those years

Yet yesterday the real truths were revealed thus so

As a friend unfolded the happenings on your side

Taken aback in a surprise with pupils diluted wide

I finally found out that you just had to let me go…
